Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology

Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) is an accreditation program that is available to surgeons and facilities that provide both inpatient and outpatient minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. COEMIG uses an outcomes database to capture data that can drive improvement in surgical care and improve patient safety and satisfaction.

The Registry Partners surgical services team works with clients to define solutions for achieving and maintaining COEMIG accreditation based on needs, deadlines, and existing staff. Your project team will complete all registry operations to include operative log review and case finding, perform data abstraction, assist with registry data processes, and can assist with Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) data audits.

Project parameters and abstraction guidelines are created in accordance with Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) COEMIG program guidelines and approved by the client to ensure the completeness and quality of the data being collected. Quality abstraction with high reliability of data is a priority and monitored with weekly case reviews and weekly/monthly data reports. This process provides an organized and streamlined approach while also being transparent with the work being performed.

The project team will work closely with the site team and physician program director as well as the SRC support team to ensure a complete implementation for a quality-driven surgical quality improvement program with high data-reliability. Providing ongoing performance feedback and communication with the client allows for successful implementation of gynecology surgical quality improvement with SRC COEMIG designation. The Registry Partners clinical data abstractors assigned to a project consider themselves a part of the hospital team and are dedicated to their success.
